She was amazing explained everything to me understood that I had been given the incorrect treatment that was making me worse and looked to rectify the mistake and was just generally lovely
I was explained options well. Procedure was done straight away and quickly. The doctor took into consideration my nervousness and the nurses looked after me whilst in recovery.
Dr Javaid was very helpful in signposting me to resources and information that will inform me and the choices I make beyond the appointment.
She asked relevant questions and provided good explanations and next steps.
Despite the 2 year wait for this appointment, it was the first time I felt I was listened to about my experience. 8 years, post total hysterectomy due to breast cancer diagnosis. No HRT, no real support for menopausal symptoms. I had just accepted and learned to live with it! The doctor was extremely knowledgeable, and understanding, and I came away from the appointment feeling quite emotional. I genuinely felt heard and am keen to try the recommended treatments.
The Doctor explained everything extremely well, both the benefits and the possible side effects. She took care and listened very attentively and made me feel welcome and inclusive during had consultancy.
