I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. The procedure was explained thoroughly and any questions were answered. The room was lovely and the food was delicious. All the staff were very helpful, particularly the catering staff who went over and above to ensure any requests were met. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

I underwent a left and right Total knee replacement under Mr Nahas within the last year. From start to finish I found him to be kind and approachable. Both surgeries have been a success and I am now pain-free and functioning well.

Mr Nahas was clear in his explanation about both knee surgeries and what to expect. It was easy to ask him questions as he is very approachable. He, also, showed the post op x-rays to demonstrate the success of the surgery which, which was very reassuring.

I have had knee pain for years, which combined with Chronic Fibromyalgia, has meant that I have been incredibly limited in activities I can enjoy. This has obviously affected my mental health and general quality of life. I had a partial knee replacement in July 2025. It has changed my life. Despite now being on the waiting list to have a knee replacement on my other leg, , I now walk 2-3 miles on a daily basis. It’s painful because of the still unhealthy knee and fibromyalgia but my new knee is now my strongest knee! I can kneel fully on to my bottom. I haven’t been able to do that for years. I was able to do this within 8 weeks of the procedure. If you are in doubt about having Mr Nahas perform knee surgery, please don’t be. He is professional, empathetic and clearly an excellent surgeon. However, you MUST do your part and do all that is asked of you with post op physio and exercises. Yes it’s uncomfortable but each day you will see an improvement. Why go through the op if it is going to fail because you didn’t do some simple exercises? Don’t let Mr Nahas skill go to waste because you didn’t follow the physio instructions? It has really life changing and I am so goad that Mr Nahas will also be doing my other knee procedure.

I work with Sam at the Royal Berkshire Hospital and am lucky to consider him both a friend and a colleague. We regularly discuss complex knee replacement cases together and he is my go to colleague for onward referral of complex soft tissue knee. He has wide ranging skills that go beyond his clinical abilities, making him a real asset to our department. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends and family for knee related problems
