My visit with Professor Vasdev was to discuss the outcomes of various tests which identified a serious lesion in one of my kidneys. My meeting with this exceptionally experienced physician ensured I knew he would progress my treatment with speed, thoroughness and skill to offer me the best prognosis. I am sure I could not be in better hands.

I had surgery under the Professor Vasdev recently and had an exceptionally positive experience. He discussed in depth about all the options including the possible risks. On the of the procedure he came to see me to make sure that I had understood what was involved and any concerns. After the surgery and the following days during my stay in the hospital her visited until I was discharged. I would like to thank Professor Nikhil Vasdev for his expertise and exceptional care for my full recovery.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer following routine screening, and I am at the younger end of the spectrum, with two teenage children who rely on me, an incredible partner, and a very full, active life. Needless to say, the diagnosis came as a shock. From the very outset, **Professor Nikhil Vasdev** was exceptional. He fast-tracked seeing us, was calm, reassuring, and immediately inspired confidence. He listened carefully — not just to the clinical facts, but to us as people — and set out a clear, structured plan at a time when everything felt overwhelming. His manner with both me and my partner was outstanding; thoughtful, compassionate, and quietly authoritative. My cancer was aggressive and required surgery to ensure a cure. Throughout the process, Professor Vasdev was completely transparent without ever being alarmist. He fought hard to preserve both my continence and sexual function, and went the extra mile during surgery to maintain the nerve structures wherever safely possible. That level of care and skill has made an enormous difference to my recovery and quality of life. What truly set him apart was the way he managed the entire journey end-to-end. He coordinated all referrals — oncology, fertility, and beyond — and delivered what can only be described as a fully managed service. He recognised that we were in shock and removed complexity at every step, allowing us to focus on getting through it. Without underplaying the seriousness of having cancer, the speed, efficiency, and excellence of my treatment — and the rapidity of my recovery — has made the whole e...

I was referred to Prof Vasdev via a friend of a friend who is: a prostate cancer patient, a practicing emergency Doctor and an ex-military doctor. When I first spoke with “###”, he talked me through his exhaustive research into who, is who, in the world of treatment of prostate cancer and the many specialists in a myriad of fields that he had interrogated. For him, there was only one option for the individual in which he was willing to place his trust and his future care, that man was “Prof Nik”, (a term of endearment I am sure I would never be so bold as to use!) On meeting Prof Vasdev, I was struck by how quickly he thinks, acts and assimilates information. On further conversations throughout my treatment, I have been amazed at how much he does, both locally and internationally across his surgical work, his research, his teaching and his sharing of best practice and in my case Neurosafe Robot Assisted Laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP). The Neurosafe aspect is the gamechanger, this allows the team to assess at a cellular level the safe margins for the removal of diseased tissues live in surgery with samples taken and assessed in real time…AMAZING! I am now 11 weeks post-surgery and am recovering very well and have had my first post operative PSA test returning undetectable levels of PSA. Having been able to observe Prof Vasdev in his native environment at the NE Hertfordshire hospital in Stevenage he struck me as s a super-bright inspiring leader, held in great esteem by his colleagues and patients alike, capable of communicating the mission and the goal to his peers and ...

I cannot speak highly enough of Professor Vasdev. From the very first consultation through to my prostatectomy and recovery, he has been absolutely fantastic. He took the time to explain every step of the process clearly and in a way that made me feel fully informed and at ease. What really stood out was his availability and dedication — he’s been responsive via email and telephone virtually around the clock, which gave me tremendous reassurance during what could have been a very stressful time. Professor Vasdev combines exceptional surgical skill with genuine compassion and professionalism. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been under his care and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone in need of urological surgery.

Removal of prostate to cure cancer- the outcomes are judged to be exceptional. I have been apparently cleared of cancer and have pretty much full continence and erections after only 3 weeks. The surgeon is exceptional in all aspects. I can’t thank him enough
