I saw Professor Vaidya a couple of days after my initial contact. During that time he spent a lot of time collating my results and provided a very caring and personal service. I could not recommend him highly enough. After the consultation he took the time to follow me up personally via a video call with my results.
Prof Vaidya and his care Team came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. Friendly, approachable and professional. I trust is clinical judgement and is an absolute amazing surgeon. I got diagnosed with BCancer in Nov’24 and felt in very good hands all the way. After a very successful operation i am now on the road to recovery. Thank you.
I was going through the darkest days of my life having being diagnosed with DCIS . I was terrified and emotionally distraught. Professor Vaidya Is an absolute angel and put me at ease from the moment I spoke with him. An expert in his field but also has a warm manner with people showing compassion and kindness throughout. He went out of his way to always get back to me when necessary. I will never forget how and his team helped me through this.
I have been a patient with Professor Vaidya since November 2014, shortly after I was diagnosed with Breast cancer. I had had an awful experience with the surgeon in the NHS hospital in Northern Ireland who diagnosed me, who communicated the news in the most unkind and insensitive manner. As well as having been devastated at the diagnosis, I had zero confidence in trusting my treatment to that surgeon. It was this situation that led to me go private, and to meeting Professor Vaidya in London. The contrast in approach between the two surgeons could not have been more stark. Professor Vaidya just radiated kindness and positivity, combined with the utmost professionalism and confidence in his ability to treat me. I was so grateful to him in that first consultation for his warm smile, positive reassurance, and his straightforward explanation of my diagnosis and proposed treatment plan. I quickly become confident that he was the right surgeon to trust to lead my treatment, and in the months and years that have followed, that confidence has never once waivered. The man quite literally saved my life, and I am forever grateful both to him and to the fantastic multi-disciplinary team that he pulled together and worked with holistically for my treatment. This included reconstructive surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and many years since of careful monitoring. Professor Vaidya’s kind, cheery and positive demeanour always helps ease the slight anxiety I still feel ten years later on when attending annual check-ups. Thankfully, I remain cancer free, and I thank Professor Vaidya and...
Read moreI can wholeheartedly recommend Professor Vaidya. He has been incredibly supportive, professional & understanding throughout. I didn't know TARGET-IORT at all. As I was a suitable candidate, He gave me a lot of information about it and he was always ready to answer my numerous questions. Although my case was not particularly urgent, I was operated on very quickly and after the operation I had no disconfort. My scars are healing well. Professor Vaidya did a great job!
I thankfully found Professor Vaidya as I wished to avoid having a full course of radiotherapy following a lumpectomy. Less than an hour after contacting him, he personally called me. Throughout this journey, he has always been professional, caring, supportive and answered every single question with total honesty. He with others, "pioneered" TARGET-IORT treatment and this is what I went had, having been identified as a suitable candidate. I have now been through successful surgery and I am convinced I have taken the very best course of treatment for me at this time with the personal support of Professor Vaidya and his team. I could not recommend him more highly.
Professor Vaidya provided a service beyond my highest expectations. I have total trust in his truly excellent clinical and surgical skills. His professionalism, personal support and communications are second to none. I'm extremely grateful for his care and unreservedly recommend him (but not to too many, in case I still want space in his clinic diary!). Dr Debbie E
After an unfortunately experience with the NHS on my diagnosis, I didn't feel comfortable proceeding and looked online for what my other options were. I found Professor Vaidya from his pioneering advancements with Breast Cancer treatment and instantly made an appointment. I was contacted right away and had multiple consultations in the lead up to my surgery. He was incredibly thorough in explaining all aspects and went above and beyond to ensure that I understood all aspects of not only the surgery, but cancer genetics and also treatment after my lumpectomy. The surgery was an incredibly success (clear margins, tumour entirely removed), but the after care was just as impressive. The Professor checked in regularly after my surgery, and even after I have moved onto the next phase of my treatment, he still reached out to ask how I was doing and for updates. Honestly, one of the best decisions I have ever made (my family thinks so as well) to proceed with Professor Vaidya as my surgeon and I cannot thank you enough!
Prof Vaidya has been very caring and professional throughout my cancer experience. He explained my surgical options clearly and took the time to go through the risks and benefits of these options. He has always examined me gently. The scars from my operation are neat. I feel I am in very good hands.
I found Professor Vaidya after local NHS hospital and private consultant were unable to operate quickly enough. He jumped into action and organised the relevant wide-ranging scans and tests so that he was able to perform a mastectomy incredibly quickly enabling me to catch up on the previous delays. He performed a miracle! He is so accessible and makes you feel so cared for and special. I now have so much faith and trust in him that it has made my diagnosis go from frightening and out of control to manageable. I will always be in his debt. His nurses, Amelia and Helen are so kind and are always there for you.
