Professor Anthony Mundy

Professor Anthony Mundy is a highly distinguished Consultant Urological Surgeon currently practicing at London Bridge Hospital. He completed his medical training at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London, qualifying in 1971 and earning his MRCS and LRCP qualifications the same year. He completed his advanced training at Guy’s Hospital, London.

Professor Mundy holds key roles at UCL Hospitals, serving as both a Professor of Urology and Consultant Urological Surgeon, in addition to being the Medical Director responsible for Quality and Safety, Research and Development, and Education and Training, a position he has held since 2001. His extensive experience includes directorships at the Institute of Urology at UCL and urology clinics at both UCL and Guy's Hospitals.

With a highly accomplished career in urological reconstruction, Professor Mundy’s global impact is evident through his 42 visiting professorships, 224 invited lectures, and work as a visiting surgeon to 121 units worldwide. He is a past President of the British Urological Association of Surgeons and a former member of the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons. Outside of medicine, his interests include history and fine wines.
