Dr Amynah Goawalla

Ms Amynah Goawalla is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Oculoplastic Surgeon with specialist expertise in cataract surgery, oculoplastic procedures, and general ophthalmology. She is a substantive consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, where she provides both emergency and elective ophthalmic care, with a continued surgical focus on eyelid and cataract conditions. She also sees private patients at The London Clinic and Cromwell Hospital.

Ms Goawalla treats a broad range of eye conditions including cataracts (with and without premium lens implants), eyelid lumps, tumours, trauma, entropion, ectropion, ptosis, excess eyelid skin (blepharoplasty), and external eye disease. She also has a clinical interest in neuro-ophthalmology and general ophthalmic care, providing both routine and urgent assessments.

She qualified in medicine from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in London in 1999 and went on to complete her higher surgical ophthalmology training at Moorfields Eye Hospital. She further developed her subspecialist skills in oculoplastic surgery through dedicated fellowships in Brighton and Cardiff. Ms Goawalla has been practising as a consultant ophthalmic surgeon since 2013 and joined Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in 2017.

Ms Goawalla speaks English, Gujarati, and Hindi. She is a member of the General Medical Council, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, and the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society (BOPSS).
