She followed up my procedure with incredible care and persistence, spotting a drug impact and changing it immediately, even checking after my discharge that the changes had been successful.

The true mark of a great surgeon is in the skill of their hands and the outcome on both surgeries couldn’t have been better. Mr Andrade is very professional, patient, concise, and clear in his approach. He carried out 2 Birmingham Hip Resurfacing surgeries on me during 2022/23 (Right hip and then the left) within a 3-month period. No nonsense and straight to the point in his assessments whilst covering all possible alternative options and outcomes. Supporting and encouraging whilst remaining realistic in his explanations of procedures. Post-surgery recovery isn’t exactly a doodle, but rest assured each day thereafter you will gain in strength and mobility, becoming more and more pain free within a short while, with soon only ever looking ahead without looking back. Just stick with his guidance and the physiotherapy sessions and you’ll be back on the grid in no time. It’s been 4 months since the 2nd resurfacing procedure I am now fully pain free, more flexible than I was 5 years ago, feeling stronger in my body and mind with a greater ‘can do attitude’ outlook on life due to the results. Least to say my surgeries by Mr Andrade and his team have been life changing!
