I first met with Theo Nanidis in April 2025 to discuss my upper eyelids: after years of trying (and failing) to disguise the “hoods” with makeup, I wanted to explore the idea of blepharoplasty. After a second consultation I felt comfortable and confident to go ahead with the surgery, which I then had under general anaesthetic at King Edward VII’s hospital in July. What can I say....... Theo has been incredible, my surgery hasn't finished yet and I almost don't want it to. Theo has brought a lot of comfort to our lives and has really made myself, my husband and family so thankful. I feel very fortunate and grateful to have Mr. Theo Nanidis as my Plastic Surgeon. He did the reconstruction of my breast due to a mastectomy from having Breast Cancer. Mr. Nanidis has shown me genuine care, empathy, kindness and warmth alongside being a highly skilled surgeon. Mr Nanidis was recommended to me by a colleague of his at the Royal Marsden. At the time I was recovering from surgery elsewhere - a risk-reducing double mastectomy and unsuccessful implant-based reconstruction, following which one of my implants had to be removed (this surgery was undertaken by another surgeon at a different hospital). As a previously fit, healthy 36 year old who chose surgery to reduce my breast cancer risk (BRCA1 mutation), I was totally traumatised by my previous experience and felt I had no real options. I was terrified of further surgical intervention, but also desperate to be fixed. The way Theo approached me and my complex case, with great care, kindness, and a total commitment to resolve the issues I was left with - both functionally and aesthetically, frankly restored my faith in the medical profession. Theo gave me the confidence to go ahead with a DIEP flap reconstruction, which we timed almost two years after my original surgery. He gathered a superb team, including a second surgeon - Kieran Power - and used his expertise and experience to plan and execute a complex bilateral DIEP flap, with extensive abdominal muscle repair. I could not have been in safer hands; I felt totally cared for from admission to discharge and beyond. Theo's real care for his patients and their outcomes is clear from the very first time you meet him, and I really could not recommend him highly enough. My surgery took place at The Lister, Chelsea, where I had an exceptional patient experience. I'm now six months post op, feeling great, delighted with my results ...
