Mr Sherif El-Tawil

Mr El-Tawil is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in knee and hip surgery. His NHS base is at London North West University NHS Trust, based at Northwick Park & Central Middlesex Hospitals.

His private practice is at the BMI Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow.

His subspecialist experience in complex knee and hip surgery has arisen from three prestigious and internationally reknowned fellowships:

• The Sydney Orthopaedic Research Institute (SORI)
• The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford
• The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham

Having graduated in 2005 from Guy's, King's and St Thomas' Medical School in London with double-distinction and a First Class Honours BSc degree, he became a specialist registrar on the Royal London rotation where he gained higher surgical experience in hospitals across London.

Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons was awarded in 2014, and subsequently an MSc from The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, where he was awarded the Highest Achiever Prize for research on computer-assisted knee replacement.

He is the recipient of multiple national and international awards, and is invited as lecturer and examiner on numerous orthopaedic courses.

He is a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for orthopaedic surgical trainees on the North Thames rotation.
