Mr Shahab Siddiqi receives praise for his professional, clear, informative, reassuring, and understanding approach with patients, making them feel heard and valued. He explains all surgical options and various treatment plans, tackling conditions such as ileostomy surgery for severe constipation, hernia consultations, and holistic care for chronic gut dysfunction. Some patients mention appointments can feel rushed or sometimes overwhelming. Mr Siddiqi's expertise aids those with anorectal conditions and stomach abdominal pain.
I was very pleased with how my appointment went today with Mr Siddiqi. He informed me clearly & precisely of a plan of action. Diagnosis & treatments . And moving forward suggestions on how to deal with the diagnosis given. And onward referral to physiotherapy. And medicine to help treat the condition.
Mr Siddiqi was so informative explaining all my options for surgery in a professional friendly manner. I have seen him twice both appointments times were excellent so no waiting around. He has also offered to send me written information of all the different procedures that are available to me Excellent service.
Dr Siddiqi really listened to my symptoms and journey with my IBS and took a holistic approach. Not only did he understand what my symptoms were but was about to explain them and what treatment could potentially work. Feeling hopeful about my treatment plan
Excellent experience, reassuring, answered my questions thoroughly
Mr Siddiqi made me feel listened to and explained everything very clearly. I left with reassurance, and a plan
The most helpful doctor I've seen - it's a sad indictment of the rest of the NHS that seeing a doctor who didn't try to gaslight me into going away made me so emotional. Mr Siddiqi is weird but wonderful - don't expect formal and stilted conversation - be prepared for seemingly random questions and swift changes of subject. But also be prepared to be listened to and understood
Felt uncomfortable, doctors opinion conflicted with all other information that i had been given and read. Felt like I was in a pantomime watching a prima donna. Felt like extra procedures were being added to inflate the bill (even though funding is through nhs). I will not be returning to this hospital for treatment. This doctor did not give me confidence or earn my trust.
As always Mr Siddiqi is at the cutting edge of treatment and research into the fantastically complete number of interconnecting conditions that effect the bowl . It took me 10 years and 5 other specialist to find , the he the only one in Essex that could offer any help and guidance . This presents as a multifaceted approach that treats you as a person first and respect all your problem how ever minor sounding to the uninitiated and how many time they have been overlooked by other SIM called experts .
