Mr Culpan is an excellent consultant.Very attentive and engaged. I find him both very effective and helpful.
I most recently saw Dr. Culpan at the LIPS clinic in Battersea for a post-operative review, approximately 6 months after my surgery. As I have had a number of appointments with Dr. Culpan, before and after surgery, I will refer to my experience across all appointments, not just the most recent. Earlier this year, I suffered an acute injury to my knee, presenting to Dr. Culpan with difficulty walking, alongside sharp pain and swelling. On initial examination, Dr. Culpan suspected a meniscus tear. Recognising the severity of my symptoms, he contacted his network to arrange an urgent MRI, which was booked in on the very same day. Then, once the MRI confirmed his initial suspicions, Dr. Culpan very clearly explained the exact nature of my injury and all the treatment options available to me. After conferring with a radiologist colleague, to be absolutely certain of the optimal course of treatment, Dr. Culpan presented me with his surgical plan alongside likely outcomes and timelines for my rehabilitation. Having considered all of the information I was presented with, I carefully weighed up the costs and benefits of each possible course of treatment before ultimately concluding that surgery was the best choice for me. Dr. Culpan performed the surgery - an arthroscopy of the knee - at King Edward VII Hospital in London and, even though there was a potential complication in the shape of the damage to my knee being more severe than could be identified on the MRI, the operation went perfectly smoothly. As per his suggestion and in line with my wishes, Dr. Culpan took a minimally...

Mr Culpan has been extremely knowledgeable and professional who was able to fix a long standing and serious issue with my hamstring that I believed was beyond help. Would highly recommend him to anyone with knee, hip or hamstring conditions.
A great overall experience, made the process easy, quick and a success
Paul saved my future with his skilled and thoughtful approach to my tricky problems.. Ever clear about the pros and cons he managed to find solutions to everything. The combination of skill, knowledge and charm makes him the perfect surgeon. Thank you Paul - and excellent back-up team too.
I had damaged my Achilles which aggravated a problem with my right knee such that I was having difficulty walking. Mr Culpan was enormously helpful in identifying the issue (with an MRI arranged the same day of my initial appointment), and surgery a week later to tidy up the damage! I couldn’t recommend him strongly enough.
Been a patient in the past. Very keen to return to Mr Culpan’s care with my ongoing hip issue. He continues to offer a clear, succinct diagnosis to your problems. Always tries to provide sensible courses of action.
I saw Mr Culpan following a serious cycling accident with multiple injuries including pelvic fractures & a Morel Lavallee lesion on my thigh. He was very helpful and caring throughout, reassuring me on recovery progress and next steps. I had surgery on the lesion following unsuccessful attempts to drain it and it’s been much better since, with a smooth surgery & recovery process with regular check-ins throughout
I have had the pleasure of working with Mr Paul Culpan, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, whose clinical expertise and dedication to patient care are exemplary. He combines excellent surgical skill with a thoughtful, compassionate approach, ensuring that patients feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their treatment. Mr Culpan’s commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes brings real and lasting benefit to his patients and I have no hesitation to refer my patients to him for his expert opinion and management.
