Mr Patel began his medical career in London. He qualified from Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals' Medical and Dental Schools after which he undertook basic and higher surgical training at King's College Hospital, Guy's Hospital and St George's hospital. After finishing his training, he went overseas to Brisbane to work under the guidance of Professor Bill Coman and Assoc/Prof Ben Panizza, performing Head and Neck Skullbase surgery. Mr Patel then returned to the UK for a further skull base and cochlear implant fellowship and locum consultant position in Addenbrookes Hospital Medical School, Cambridge.

Mr Patel gave me a full diagnosis during my first visit and also microsuction to clear one ear to enable me to hear again. I had previously been unable to hear much for some weeks. The treatment was pain free and did not take long without being rushed. I have no concerns about going to see Mr Patel again and will do so if I have any further problems with my ears.
