Mr Marc Laniado

Very happy with everything from the speed of response to the explanation of all the different things for my diagnosis and treatment.

I have been under the care of Mr Laniodo for prostate cancer. The treatment and followup I have received has been excellent.

Mr Laniado has been my consultant for many years and I value his expertise and manner.

Mr Laniado rapidly diagnosed my prostate cancer problem and realised that HIFU was the most effective and least intrusive procedure (contrary to the view of my previous consultant). He also had considerable experience in applying ultra-sound so that it would not affect sexual and urinary functions. The procedure was completed under general anaesthetic with the minimum of discomfort and achieved next day discharge from the hospital. All the prostate functions were unaffected as promised and the cancer was confirmed completely removed by MRI scan. The only remaining issue was a small amount of urine leakage when in the sitting position which is gradually reducing. I can absolutely recommend HIFU as a procedure and Mr Laniado as a physician with the experience to apply the procedure with complete success.

My PSA had been creeping up for several years. By December 2024 it was 6.2 and a scan showed a tumour close to the edge of my prostate. Marc Laniado recommended a day case procedure (nanoknife) and I had this in January 2025. Twelve months later, in January 2026, my PSA is 0.3 and a scan shows no evidence of cancer. Marc is one of the most professional people I have met - everything is explained patiently and thoroughly, he is available at short notice to talk through any concerns/answer any questions, appointments are on time and his follow-up letters come the same day and clearly explain what he has done and the next steps. I would like to thank Marc Laniado and the highly efficient team he works with for the outstanding care I received - anyone of any age (I'm 82) concerned about their prostate would benefit from a​ consultation with him.

Prior to the surgery everything was explained in detail. I felt confident that I was in the best hands possible. The whole set up and the professionalism and respectfulness of the whole team, before and after surgery was first class. The follow up was comprehensive and clear. Excellent. I believe I had the best treatment available and would definitely make a recommendation to others.

I started the process under NHS care with no symptoms. After GP bloods, MRI, biopsy, CT, and bone scan (confirming the cancer was confined to the capsule), I was disappointed to hear that if I stayed on that path, nerve sparing would not be possible. A friend recommended I speak to Mr Laniado, and this was a turning point. It was clear from the start that I’d be in the most capable hands. His assessment was delivered in an authoritative yet compassionate manner – exactly what I was looking for. He organised a PSMA PET/CT scan which, as he had suspected, confirmed that nerve sparing would be both possible and safe due to the NeuroSAFE approach. (I also preferred the option of the Suprapubic tube). My mind was made up. I decided to self-pay and engage Mr Laniado. His office provided excellent support throughout with prompt and helpful communication. My faith in Mr Laniado was confirmed at each stage: prior to surgery, on the day, the day after, and during the follow-up. I have no hesitation in unreservedly recommending him to others in my situation.
