Just attended a follow up appointment after a shoulder replacement last year.I cannot thank Mr Wijeratna and his team for their wonderful treatment and care I I received before during and after the operation.I would not hesitate recommending Woodthorpe hospital for any shoulder problems.Thank you once again for your care .
Very good overall experience. Mr Wijeratna was very knowledgeable and honest and didn’t give me any false promises. One negative - felt post op feedback given too early whilst still half unconscious, so very little information went in. Would happily have Mr Wijeratna as my consultant in the future.
Thanks for the feedback. Patients earlier on the operating list are often discharged before the rest of the list finishes. So I try and explain what happened during the operation when the patient is in recovery, otherwise they will only find out what happened at their follow-up appointment 3 months later. On this occasion, it seems it was a bit too soon after surgery for you to process the information.
My visit was very useful and informative and I appreciate the efforts that have been made to alleviate my shoulder problem. Mr Wijeratna respected my concerns and made me feel I was right to seek help.
Thank you
The care and attention I received at Woodthorpe hospital by Mr Wijeratna and his team were all absolutely wonderful, I could not have wished for better care and attention. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending them.
Thank you for the fantastic feedback!
Dr Wijeratna is very professional and very good doctor. I’m very happy he done my elbows surgery. Very positive experience with him and highly recommended. 10/10
I'm glad that the surgeries I performed for both of your elbows have given you the results that you wanted!
My operation with another consultant had been postponed, and saw Mr Wijeratna for my re-scheduled op. He explained very clearly what was wrong, and explained also that I could actually function very well without an op - which I elected to do. I am forever grateful for the clear explanations and the option to not go ahead with surgery - it has proved to be the absolute best choice. Thank you so much for enabling me to avoid surgery and a lengthy recovery period!
Depending on the condition, lots of patients can do very well with non-surgical management. I use my education, skill and experience to explain both options to patients to come up with a mutually agreeable treatment plan.
Mr Wijeratna is a very skillful Orthopedic surgeon, and I highly recommend him.
