About Mr George Fayad
Consultant Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon Mr George Fayad has been the Governor of the International College of Surgeons since he was elected for the position in 2008. He has extensive knowledge of otolaryngology and has been a Consultant ENT Surgeon for more than 20 years.
He completed his medical training in centres in Belgium and France before completing extensive training in Otorhinolaryngology in both Europe and the United States.
Mr Fayad is a known leader in the development of ground breaking surgical techniques, including nasal titanium implants for breathing aid and Incisionless ear pinning. He also has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ENT conditions in both adults and children, including: general ENT conditions, sleep and snoring disorders and vertigo and balance issues.
Alongside his private practice, Mr Fayad is Lead Rhinologist and Chairman of the ENT Department at the Basildon and Thurrock NHS University Hospitals. He is also responsible for the Allergy Clinic at Basildon Hospital where they are lead innovators, having established a multidisciplinary unit for dealing with patients suffering from combinations of allergies, asthma and nasal polyps. The Allergy Unit is the first to cure conditions rather than simply treating them.

Mr Fayad is also actively involved in many on-going research and audit projects. He is fluent in Arabic, English, French and Dutch.

I have been experiencing sinus issues for some time which has recently become worse and started to impact my hearing. Mr Fayad examined my and explained very clearly the cause of my sinus problem and the potential steps required to resolve. Follow up actions are now underway.
I was warmly welcomed to the consulting room which put me at ease straightaway. He was a good listener and he examined and explained issues to me. Soon my procedure was successfully performed. I was extremely pleased and satisfied with his competence and professionalism.
