See previous comments. I'd already had an ultrasound, he didnt bother to even turn on the PC on to look at the images, depsite the specialist' letter highlighting issues to look at he just dismissed her ability to see anything and to do a difeent scan. Couldnt be bothered to look. Just dreadful.
The booking of my appointment was very easy with follow up email. Receptionists were pleasant and helpful. As described earlier the consultant experience was poor. He managed to give me 10 minutes of his time for £250, this I found was extortionate.

It all went very smoothly and seems to have been completely successful. The staff were helpful and professional in the clinic. I was extremely impressed with the anaesthetist whose name I have unfortunately forgotten. She was reassuring and a good listener, and did a terrific job of putting me under and awakening me as bright as a button afterwards! I was overall very pleased. Thank you.
I’ve had several operations and met a lot of surgeons. Mr Mohammed is in a different league. From the first appointment I felt in good hands, and ever since I’ve had the utmost respect for him. So when my dad needed surgery, I knew there was no one else I wanted involved in his care. He didn’t have to take my dad’s case on, but he did, despite the obstacles, and went above and beyond to help us. As expected, my dad’s TURP couldn’t have gone better. He was out of hospital within 48 hours and already seeing an improvement in his quality of life. My father can now spend his remaining time with us comfortable and without pain, which is what I’d been fighting for, for a very long time. Without Mr Mohammed, that wouldn’t have been possible. I’ll never be able to thank him enough.
The consultant is a very well qualified and experienced expert. His diagnosis is aided by thorough knowledge and experience. I would have liked more explanation during and after the procedure. It was quick, but left me in discomfort and a little shock - perhaps this is normal, but some communication would have helped. It's hard to take in complex information when you are in pain, on your back, with your legs up. Some days later I received a copy letter to my GP, and I was able to look up the diagnosis, and I now understand what happened. Written communication is much faster than NHS. The whole process moves fast. There is an opportunity to add five minutes reassuring chat at the beginning and end of the procedure. And a little more local anaesthetic!
I can't fault his knowledge or abilities, and so far I am happy with the results of the procedure, so I can certainly recommend him. But for both my initial consultation & after the procedure itself, it felt like he didn't provide any information beyond strictly what I'd asked (perhaps he was in a hurry but was too polite to say so?), so I ended-up having to go back to his great secretary with additional questions. That's not really a criticism (as it didn't cause me any problems in the end), but it might be an idea to write down all your possible questions/concerns before you see him, to save some time.
Poor communication
