I can’t recommend Lucas highly enough. He supported me through my recovery from a fractured ankle over several months, and his expertise, patience, and encouragement made a real difference. Each session was well-structured and tailored to my progress, and he always explained the purpose behind the exercises. Thanks to Lucas, I’ve regained strength, confidence, and mobility faster than I expected. An excellent physiotherapist and a genuinely supportive person.
Treated over recent months by Lucas Attwood following a running injury and the programme of treatment was excellent. Very clear on what I could expect from the outset (including managing expectations about a return to running), effective combination of physio exercises and strength training and pragmatic about how often I needed to see him. Really friendly and it also helped that he’s a runner too! I’m now back to running three times a week, including one long run at weekends.
I had 3 months of physio before my ACL reconstruction, and then 9 months after surgery with Lucas. He has built my strength up better than it ever was before. Lucas is professional, patient, friendly and extremely knowledgable. I followed all his advice and that meant I built the strength back quicker than first thought. I would highly recommend Lucas as a wonderful physio.
I had a difficult knee surgery, and working with Lucas has been exceptional. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional, carefully adapting the training load based on how my leg responded each session. What I appreciated most was how he tailored the rehab specifically to the sports movements I needed to get back to. Lucas has also been incredibly accommodating and flexible with scheduling, which made the recovery process much smoother. Even during holidays, he took the time to give me advice and medical guidance over the phone — a testament to his dedication and genuine care for his patients. Beyond his expertise, Lucas is also a very kind and personable individual. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough!
I had knee pain and honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to run my marathon. With Lucas’ help, I was able to rehab my knee properly, build my strength back up, and not only complete the race — but get a new personal best! I couldn’t recommend him enough.
Lucas is a great physio. I was feeling very despondent about repeated challenges with an ankle tendon issue running. He really helped me reframe the issue, as well as offering a plan to resolving it. He explained things very clearly through from the diagnostics and testing, to the exercises and thresholds for discomfort during running. I appreciated how practical he was about what the important things were and needing to keep managing the issue going forward. He was thorough in ensuring I had all the information for the exercises and creating a comprehensive plan to help me build up my running. I am extremely appreciative for having such a fantastic physio and so happy to be back running properly!
I had my final visit to see Lucas this week which was very positive. He has worked patiently with me to overcome my injury over recent months and got me back to a place where I can do what I was able to do pre-injury but also with a future plan so I can build up to do some light running again which I haven't managed for years. The rehab plan has been steady but realistic and he has continued to tweak this after each visit depending on my progress. He always provided the confidence that I would get to this place if I stuck to the plan.
Lucas was great. Clearly very knowledgeable and explained everything in sufficient (but not too much) detail. Got me back to working order for an impending Ironman which I completed with no issues. Will return if I have any future injuries...
I had a problem with my knee and was unable to run without it hurting and swelling. Lucas Attwood helped diagnose the problem and created a long-term plan to get me back to exercising pain-free. Thanks to his expert guidance and support, I’m now back to running pain-free, something I didn’t think would be possible. I am very grateful to him. His knowledge and infectious optimism have made a huge difference to both my physical and mental health.
I've worked with Lucas through two major injuries, and he's been exceptional every time. His deep knowledge and meticulous attention to detail make a real difference. He takes the time to understand the demands of the specific sports you play and tailors your rehab exercises accordingly. He doesn’t just follow a generic recovery plan—he builds one that fits your goals and lifestyle. Lucas is also great at explaining what’s going on with your body, so you feel more in control of your recovery. I always felt like I was progressing with purpose under his care
