Mr Krishna Vemulapalli

I am a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust, with my NHS practice based at King George Hospital (Goodmayes) and Queen’s Hospital (Romford, Essex). My specialist interests include adult foot and ankle surgery (both simple and complex) and paediatric orthopaedics, though I also manage general trauma and orthopaedic conditions, including hip and knee surgery.

I am committed to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care, offering minimally invasive surgery, arthroscopic procedures, and advanced ankle replacement techniques to optimise recovery and function. • Foot & Ankle Surgery: Ankle replacement, bunion correction, ligament reconstruction, deformity correction, Flat foot, High arched foot, midfoot deformities, tendon problem, mortons neuroma and anyother simple or complex foot and ankle problems
• Paediatric Orthopaedics: DDH, Perthes disease, SUFE, Gait abnormalities, flat feet, Clubfoot (Ponseti method), developmental foot conditions, Bow legs, Knock Knees and all kinds of paediatric musculo skeletal problems.
• Sports Injuries: Foot and ankle fractures, Achilles tendon injuries, ligament damage
• Arthroscopic & Minimally Invasive Surgery: Keyhole procedures for ankle and foot conditions
• General Trauma & Orthopaedics: Hip and knee surgery, fracture management

I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University, London, dedicated to teaching and training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons. I organise and teach on various practical orthopaedic and FRCS examination courses, including:

I played a key role in Queen’s Hospital being named 'Training Hospital of the Year 2014' for Trauma & Orthopaedics in the Royal London Rotation, and my contributions to training have been recognised through multiple awards.

Personal Profile

I live in Essex with my wife, a GP, and our two sons and daughter. Outside of work, I enjoy playing cricket, reading, travelling, spending time with my family, and experimenting with Indian cooking.
