Mr Hemant Vakharia is professional, knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. He listens to patients, ensuring they feel heard and understood from initial consultation through recovery, with thorough explanations for procedures such as endometriosis surgery, fibroid removal, and hysterectomies. His surgical skill yields successful outcomes, including minimal pain and fast recovery, along with excellent post-operative follow-up and care. Patients value his expertise in gynaecology, notably in managing endometriosis, myomectomy, and performing laparoscopic surgery.
I was referred to Mr Hemant Vakharia following intermittent heavy bleeding episodes that were due to underlying fibroids. I had an excellent experience with him. From the first consultation through to the post-surgery follow-up, he explained everything clearly, made me feel at ease and used patient-friendly communication approach including walking me through investigative reports and shared copies of these reports with me. The surgery went smoothly, and I felt confident in his care throughout. What stood out most during the process was his excellent communication skills, compassion and follow‑up — Mr Vakharia explained the next steps at each session, gave me time to consider the possible treatment options (including allowing me to explore a second medical opinion), allowed me to decide when the surgery took place, explained the surgery procedure including risks, gave clear recovery guidance, checked in by telephone after I was discharged from hospital following surgery, recommended scar treatment and age-related hormone therapy I should consider, and said if I had any queries in future I should feel free to reach out. Thanks to his skill and support, my recovery has been very positive. I’m truly grateful and would highly recommend Mr Vakharia to anyone needing surgery and compassionate care.
I had an excellent experience with Dr Vakharia. I have a long history of endometriosis and was referred to him specifically by another gynae to further investigate my condition. From the very beginning, he never dismissed me or made me feel that my symptoms were insignificant. He listened carefully, addressed all of my concerns, and involved me in every decision regarding next steps. My surgery was successful, and during my post-operative appointment, Dr Vakharia took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, ensuring I fully understood what had been done and what to expect moving forward. I have immense respect for him. During my recovery, I went through a particularly difficult period with significant pain and multiple concerns. After I sent an email outlining my worries, Dr Vakharia personally called me—even though I did not have a scheduled appointment—just to check in and talk through what I was experiencing and what I should and shouldn’t do. That small but incredibly meaningful gesture went above and beyond, and I will always be grateful for it. Endometriosis is a very challenging condition to live with, but I never once felt ignored or neglected under Dr Vakharia’s care. I was treated with genuine respect, kindness, and reassurance, and all of my concerns were consistently addressed. He said something to me that no other doctor ever has: he encouraged me not to live my life in fear and to trust the process and the success of the surgery. Hearing that from a doctor was deeply comforting. I am truly thankful for the care I received and would highly re...

I came to see Mr Vakharia when I was desperate for help for my stage 4 endometriosis. He didn’t dismiss my symptoms, and took my concerns about medications seriously. Even after surgery, he continues to want to help me and is referring me on for further support. I have seen many different endo centres and the London Clinic under Mr Vakharia and his team is who I feel most comfortable with and feel like they genuinely want to help.
Thank you very much for your review. I appreciate the time you have taken and your openness regarding your history. Thank you for trusting me and I hope to be able to continue helping you with your care. Best Wishes Mr Vakharia
I am deeply thankful to Mr. Vakharia and his team for the exceptional care provided before, during, and after my recent endometriosis surgery. His patient-centred approachfostered complete trust in the process throughout. My initial consultation with Mr. Vakharia was due to complaints of excruciating menstrual pain that had eventually become constant. I was grateful that he listened to my symptoms patiently and did not dismiss my pain, respecting my feeling that "something isn't right." He immediately referred me for a diagnostic ultrasound, which subsequently confirmed the diagnosis of endometriosis. Following the diagnosis, Mr. Vakharia thoroughly reviewed all available treatment options, clearly explaining the risks and benefits of each. Crucially, I never felt pressured; he emphasised that the final decision was mine, based on my lifestyle and preferences. When I chose surgery, he advised that it would need to be a joint procedure with a colorectal surgeon due to the complex nature of my endometriosis. Mr. Jenkins, colorectal surgeon was also very thorough and explained his part in the surgery very patiently. On the day of surgery, the bedside manner of the entire team—including the colorectal surgeon, the anaesthesiologist, and Mr. Vakharia himself—was phenomenal. I felt incredibly assured and supported entering the operating theatre. Post-surgery, I felt fully supported throughout my recovery in the hospital. Mr. Vakharia personally visited me multiple times during my stay, which was hugely reassuring and helped ease any anxieties. One month post-surgery, I am recove...

Mr Vakharia is an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable doctor. He treated me for stage 4 endometriosis after my initial diagnosis on the NHS. He made sure I had all the tests needed to establish the extent of my condition which was debilitating at certain points of my cycle. He was patient and compassionate in explaining my options and gave me plenty of space to ask any questions in the moment and encouraged me to take my time thinking over treatment options before making my decision. I ultimately chose the surgical route as that would've improved my quality of life the most and it was a supportive and reassuring experience from start to finish.
Thank you for your generous feedback. I am pleased that your experience met your expectations and that I was able to support you. Best Wishes Mr Vakharia

This is the first time in years that i have awoken from an operation to little to no pain. Mr Vakharia and his team were always around during my stay and even after by phone. Even my scars are almost gone
Thank you for your kind feedback. I’m very pleased to hear that your recovery has gone well and that you felt well looked after both during your stay and afterwards. It’s also lovely to know you’re happy with the outcome. Wishing you a smooth and continued recovery. Best Wishes Mr Vakharia
I went to Mr Vakharia in September for an initial consultation due to experiencing pelvic pain and having adenomoysis, which I had been experiencing for several years. After years of being dismissed by several gynaecologists, I finally found a doctor who listened to me and diagnosed me with endometriosis post a laparoscopy. He was able to remove all the endometriosis and his whole team made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout my surgery. The team also were able to accommodate my surgery around my work schedule. He provided great pre-surgery and post-surgery care with multiple check-ins and he was very reassuring about everything. He empowered me to make my own decisions around my treatment plan and did not force me to go down any pain relief route that I wasn’t happy with.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I’m really glad to hear you felt listened to and that you were comfortable with both the care and the decisions around your treatment. I am really pleased that the surgery and follow-up met your expectations, and I wish you all the best in your recovery. Kind Regards Mr Vakharia
Dr. Vakharia is respectful, thorough, knowledgable, and very patient with many detailed questions. I was impressed by how fast I healed from major surgery and how inconsequential the incisions were - both a testament to how skilled he is. I travelled from Canada and do not regret the decision. I highly recommend him and the care he gives.
Thank you for your very kind review. I am truly grateful for your positive feedback and pleased that you were happy with the care provided. Your comments are greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Mr Vakharia
I highly recommend Dr Vakharia! He is incredibly professional, clearly very knowledgeable and communicates very transparently. I felt extremely comfortable throughout the consultation, surgery and post-op process and was kept updated on all aspects of my care. I knew I was in good hands and appreciated all he and his team did for me.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and detailed review. I am delighted to know that I was able to help, and I genuinely appreciate your kind and encouraging words. Best Wishes, Mr Vakharia

The average waiting time for an endometriosis diagnosis may be over eight years, but once you’ve got that, it’s likely to be another 18 months before you have surgery. In the meantime, women are struggling to work, exercise, socialise and maintain a normal sex life. So, what does that mean for our pleasure and fertility?
