Dr Joel Newman is kind, professional, friendly, and reassuring in patient interactions. He makes complex information clear, provides precise diagnoses, and delivers comprehensive treatment plans for conditions like MGUS. Patients value his support with anxiety during treatment, alongside his team's praise for supportive service. Feedback highlights excellent care for blood cancer.
Dr Newman makes sure to Keep you relaxed throughout the appointment
Dr Newman was very thorough and reassuring during the in-person assessment and follow up consultation. He took time to explain complex information in a way easy to understand. I highly recommend him. However there was a lack of clarity between my insurance provider and Dr Newman’s admin team about the excess due, which only became clearly until after the event. I was chased aggressively with late payment fees added. This aspect of the service could be improved to be more transparent up front.
My old haematologist has retired so I was concerned about meeting a new one but I needn’t have been. Dr Newman was brilliant. He understood concerns, reacted accordingly , gauged the type of person I was and supported accordingly. I would highly recommend both him and his wider team.
I have been seeing Dr Newman for about five years following a diagnosis of MGUS which needs to be monitored regularly because it can develop into Myeloma. Following my blood tests, I see Dr Newman at the Brighton Nuffield Hospital and he carefully explains what everything means. I will continue to see him every six months and have no hesitation in recommending him. I must also mention that his long-standing private secretary, Jude, is amazing - she is so helpful and kind and calm at all times.
Dr. Newman is one of the best doctors I've encountered. Incredibly patient, answering all of my (long list of) questions with real kindness and knowledge. I feel very confident and taken care of in my recovery having him as my haematologist!
Dr Newman is kind patient and professional. I would recommend him wholeheartedly.
Such an excellent experience - a big a relief to find out what is really wrong with me and direct me to the right treatment and avoid inappropriate treatment.
Following my recent diagnoses, I wanted a 'second pair of eyes', to help me make sense of a rather (for me) complex information. Hence, making an appointment to seek Dr Newman's opinion. I found him extremely helpful, as he was patient and able to help me understand the pro's and con's of my particular position, and for that, I am immensely grateful to him. I highly recommend him.
Joel Newman is my go to haematologist as he always provides a thorough and thoughtful opinion, is easy to work with and is well regarded by his patients
