In May 2025 Professor Brookes performed a embolosclerotherapy to a recurrent right foot AVM. Thanks to his considerable skill and knowledge the procedure was successful. I appreciated the time he took to explain everything thoroughly. I felt informed and comfortable to ask questions about my concerns. I am delighted with the outcome and so grateful for his approachability and expertise.

I was seen by Professor Brookes on zoom and subsequently he treated my AVM. His manner and his treatment were excellent, he was very helpful in his advice, provided all of the details needed and then proceeded with the treatment, it could not have gone better.

I was a young mum of two little children and I couldn't stand on my legs without pain. I suffered from varicose veins and pelvic congestion. Every other doctor who I saw told me that should come back when my family was complete. Then somebody recommended Professor Brookes. He had a completely different approach. He immediately dealt with my varicose veins and pelvic congestion. I now am pain free and have slim legs. Professor Brookes changed my quality of life. Professor Brookes has a charming personality. He is warm, friendly and sympathetic. Medically he is the best in his field. If you are fortunate enough to see him in clinic on the NHS you will notice that he has a big que of patients that only want to see Professor Brookes. After years and years of very compromised life quality, extreme discomfort and pain, I visited Professor Brookes who identified my relatively severe pelvic congestion syndrome, and proceeded to carry out pelvic vein embolisation. Almost immediately I felt like I had been given my life back. No one else had been able to help before him. He has since had to carry out a couple of further embolisations for new problem veins. He has to be one of the best in this field in the country, if not worldwide! The nurses and team he works with are also always lovely and helpful. A super talented doctor who makes you feel instantly at ease, actually listening to the patient, and clearly explaining everything you would need to know in detail.
