Dr Florian Wernig

I was well informed about my up coming surgery and after care, I found Dr Florian very caring and very considered regarding my needs.

Dr Wernig is very knowledgeable and reassuring. He responded very quickly to an urgent situation and I feel confident under his care during an incredibly stressful time for me.

I am from Trinidad (Caribbean) and was diagnosed with Conn's Syndrome in Oct 2018. I was referred to Dr Floriam Wernig (Endocrinologist) where I opted to follow up with his medical services in August 2019. Dr Wernig had helped me in every step of the way in my planning and preparation from Trinidad, months in advance. He made my trip to the UK very comfortable and reassuring that all was taken care off. Dr. Wernig was so kind enough, he went out of his way and kept in one-on-one communication with me, guiding and advising me, despite never meeting or speaking to him before. Dr. Wernig even when above and beyond to set up a team to perform the necessary testing (adrenal venial sampling) for the period that i was planning to visit, have other doctors at the Hammersmith hospital to review the results and for preparation of surgery all within a very short space of time. He even came out of his vacation period just to have my first consultation with him. Wernig was very professional and I felt very comfortable especially with his reassuring word. His explanation was very thorough and I understood clearly every step of the way. Dr. Wernig is very experienced and well knowledgeable in his field. He is very kind and caring through his words and action. I was very pleased and happy to have Dr Wernig as my doctor.I am grateful for my experience with Dr. Wernig, and in the end of it all, I did correct surgery on my right adrenal gland, where i am now completely off all hypertension and hypokalemia medications. My experience with Dr Wernig has so far been very positive. He is pleasant, reassuring and his explanation of my situation has been clear and easy for a lay person to understand. He has acted promptly on my behalf where necessary.

Dr Wernig spotted my Cushing syndrome (caused by my adrenal tumour) and explained everything very clearly to me, at a very stressful time. He took the time to speak to me regularly while I was in hospital, updating me on the various tests. I have continued to see him following my adrenalectomy. I couldn’t rate him more highly.

I had my first meeting with Dr Wernig last week and was hugely impressed with the patient and thoughtful way he reviewed my case, taking the time and trouble to walk me through each aspect of my condition. I was seen at the end of a long day and I felt like he went above and beyond to make me feel that my concerns were being heard and properly acknowledged. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Dr. Wernig has been treating me for almost a year and I cannot be more satisfied! He is an expert at what he does and I am so lucky to be following up with him. He is simply amazing!
