Dr Charlotte Manisty

Dr Manisty is a Consultant Cardiologist at the Barts Heart Centre and University College Hospitals in London and she also sees patients privately. Within the field of cardiology, Dr Manisty specialises in heart failure and cardiac imaging, leading the Cardio-oncology service at Barts Hospital where she treats cancer patients with heart problems. Additionally, she diagnoses and treats patients routinely in the clinic for various different cardiac conditions; ranging from heart failure and cardiomyopathy to high blood pressure.

She has trained in cardiac device implantation, she has the IBHRE Device Accreditation and now leads the MRI imaging service for device patients at Chenies Mews Imaging Centre and Barts. Dr Manisty has co-authored the national recommendations for MRI imaging in patients with implantable cardiac devices and is currently conducting innovative research into the topic.

She pays special clinical interest to improving screening for cardiac problems for cancer patients and developing automated techniques for analysis of cardiac structure and function to improve early detection of cardiac abnormalities.
