The Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital

I had an excellent experience at the Lindo Wing. Everyone (midwives, baby doctors, anaesthesiologists) were exceptionally calm, supportive, and reassuring throughout my stay. Every step was clearly explained, and all questions were answered with patience and care. Even with the smallest concern about my baby’s health, a neonatologist was promptly invited to carry out a full assessment, which gave me great peace of mind. I was also supported with my baby’s breast attachment immediately in the delivery room, which was incredibly helpful. The rooms are very well equipped, and during delivery both my and my baby’s heart rates were continuously monitored and carefully assessed. After the birth, we received ongoing guidance on next steps, and both my baby’s and my own health were checked frequently and thoroughly.

I was seen promptly, I had plenty of time in my appointment and felt all my questions were answered throughly. Thank you.

Had abdominal surgery, my 27th big operation and this was one of the ‘better’ experiences, thank you!

I was visiting for a post op review. Reception staff were helpful and the patient waiting area while small was clean and comfortable.

I didnt appreciate having the ultrasound in the QEQMB building. It should be in the lindo wing. However, staff were great and supportive

I had a surgery which was slightly delayed, but the operation itself was carried out very well. The ward was nice, comfortable, and clean. The only issue was that the kitchen forgot about my meal, and I ended up waiting 1.5 hours for my food despite two reminders. The nurses and doctors were of an exceptionally high standard.

I have had the misfortune to be admitted to many hospitals since 2018. Lindo Wing at St Mary’s has been the best experience, second to none, with caring, experienced, informative staff. Refreshingly, nothing is too much trouble. Lal Navaratne ensured my complex care was fully coordinated by wonderful teams of professionals. I have no complaints, only praise for such an amazing experience.

5 days ago I had a hysterectomy and prolapse repair under the excellent care of Dr Digesu. All the staff on the Lindo Wing were so kind and very attentive. I must mention here Nurse Harry who was fantastic and such an asset to the team. I am now back at home making incredible progress and can't thank everyone enough.

All calm and on time

During my recent visit with Miss Shilpa Ojha, I found her to be very professional and caring. She listened carefully to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I highly recommend her.
